A sliding scale for services is available based on family income if you have do not have benefits available.

Registered Psychologists

These psychologists are fully registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists and are approved to practice independently. All insurance benefits that offer psychological services reimburse the services provided by these practitioners.


Assessments

Clover Care Health offers assessments for children, youth and adults. Registered Provisional Psychologists

Registered Provisional Psychologists are registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist. Most insurance benefits reimburse services provided by a Registered Provisional Psychologist (but some may not offer direct billing).


Masters of Social Work (MSW)

These therapists are covered by extended benefit providers similar to psychologists. They have completed a Masters degree in Social Work which includes substantial training in mental health counselling.


Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC)

These clinicians are members of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and offer an affordable option when benefits are limited. Sessions with a CCC are $140. Counsellors possess a Masters degree in Counselling with a minimum of 400 hours of training. They are highly skilled and covered by select benefit plans. Please note that the Psychologists Association of Alberta’s recommended rate for a 50-minute psychologist session in Alberta is $235 per hour, effective January 1, 2025. Lasha Gauthier will adjust her rate per 50-minute session to $235 effective November 1, 2025 in accordance with the recommended rate.
